BrainWave Entrainment-Training Wheels to Learn Meditation

On one of my other websites http://WealthSuccessReviews.com one of my readers asked me about the use of BrainWave entrainment to learn meditation because he had read so many traditional meditation website denigrating the use of BWE as cheating. On the other hand, he had read the hype from CenterPointe which says you can in just a few minutes meditate deeper than a Zen Monk. Here is my response:

Someone asked me about using BWE audios to learn meditation but, the automatic spam system that I use deleted the post. While many who practice traditional meditation abhor the use of Brainwave Entrainment, I personally find it extremely helpful if you use it as a support and not an end goal-kind of like training wheels. It is great to help while learning and cuts out many hours of solitary and wasteful practice. However, systems like Certerpointe which promises to have you “meditating deeper that a Zen Monk” are a waste of time and money. Their system never ends and you are always being urged to buy more expensive products. Not only does the promotion of new audios never end, they also use the antiquated “Binaural Beat” BWE which in not nearly as effective as Isochronic Tones which create a much greater Cortical Evoked Response (CER).
When I teach meditation, I start with 2 guided Alpha BWE audios to introduce meditation and then we progress on to an unguided Theta BWE. While the time necessary will vary from one person to the next, by using the Theta BWE as a crutch, your brain will learn how to naturally learn how to achieve a deep meditative state. Once you learn how to achieve the Theta state naturally, you should stop using the BWE as it begins to limit your ability to achieve the various levels consciousness which are available to you. By stopping the use of BWE, you allow your mind to go deeper and with practice, you may even be able to achieve access to the Super-Conscious Mind-Samadi-Nirvana. Unfortunately, many continue to use BWE past the point where they can naturally achieve altered Brainwave States and are locked into the single limiting frequency of the specific audio that they are using. Some may wish to progress on to deep waking Delta states or the highly focused concentration of Gamma but that is a personal choice-all that you need to learn is how to achieve Theta naturally without the limitations of BWE audios. Personally, I am currently practicing Tibetan Loving Kindness meditation and I find the highly focused Gamma Brainwave state to be helpful. Gamma is a somewhat rare and difficult state to achieve without the help of BWE. However, I am finding that with BWE practice that I am learning how to achieve that state naturally.

I am currently working on a free meditation training with included BWEs and I will let you know when it is available. It has taken me somewhat longer that planned as I currently have too many irons in the fire but, it should be completed soon.

Take 5 to Relax and Melt the Stress

Very shortly we will be offering a free E-book and several free Brainwave Entrainments to help you learn the art of meditation and virtually eliminate unwanted stress from your life. However, in the meantime, I would like to suggest you just take out 5 minutes a day to do a little progressive relaxation as it will at the very least reduce some of the killer stress that you have to put up with everyday in the 21st Century.

Back in 1960, in his landmark self-help book Pshcho-Cybernetics, Dr. Maxwell Maltz recommended:”Physical relaxation, when practiced daily, bring about an accompanying “mental relaxation,” and a “relaxed attitude” which enables us to better consciously control our automatic mechanism. Physical relaxation also, in itself, has a powerful influence in “dehypnotizing” us from negative attitudes and reaction patterns.”

While this is not as powerful as meditation, it will at the very least help you put up with the exponential stress which is ruining our physical, mental and emotional health on a daily basis.

So, until we complete the Quantum Mind Meditation guide, at least take 5 minutes out to de-stress on a daily basis.
